The Central Library of Theem College of Arts, Commerce and Science is a valuable center of knowledge that supports the academic and intellectual growth of students and faculty members. The library houses an ever-growing collection of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, reference materials, and non-book resources covering the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science, Humanities, and related disciplines. It also maintains a rich collection of project reports, research articles, bound volumes of journals, competitive examination materials, and rare reference books.
The library includes a dedicated section for audiovisual resources, CDs/DVDs, and digital learning materials related to communication skills, management skills, personality development, quantitative aptitude, and career-oriented learning. University syllabus copies, previous years’ question papers, manuals, handbooks, and newspaper clippings are also available for student reference. All these resources are systematically organized in a spacious and student-friendly environment with comfortable seating capacity and CCTV surveillance for safety and monitoring.
The Central Library has also established a Digital Library facility with computers connected through high-speed internet to provide access to e-books, e-journals, online databases, NPTEL lectures, and open-source educational resources. Library services are automated using library management software, and OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is available for users to easily search library resources. Barcode technology has been implemented for efficient circulation and management of library transactions.

Library Rules and Regulations
The Library remains open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on all working days.
Books are issued from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Students must produce their valid College Identity Card before entering the library.
Students are required to keep their bags, personal books, and other belongings at the baggage counter. The library staff will not be responsible for any loss or damage of personal belongings.
Students are requested to keep books, magazines, and other materials in their respective places after use.
Reference books, periodicals, and other reference materials will be issued only against a valid Identity Card and are strictly for use within the library premises.
Books once issued will not be accepted for return on the same day.
Each student is allowed to borrow 3 books at a time for a period of 7 days.
Issued books may be renewed once for an additional period of 7 days, provided the renewal is done on or before the due date.
A fine of ₹2 per book per day will be charged after the due date. No further books will be issued if the overdue period exceeds 15 days.
Students must check the condition of books before borrowing and immediately report any torn or missing pages to the Librarian. Otherwise, the borrower will be held responsible at the time of return.
Any library material taken outside for photocopying must be returned within one hour. Necessary action will be taken against defaulters.
In case of loss of a book, the borrower must replace it with a new copy and pay the applicable fine.
Silence and discipline must be maintained inside the library at all times.
Use of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited. Strict action will be taken against anyone found using or talking on mobile phones.
Periodicals, newspapers, and CDs/DVDs will not be issued outside the library to students or faculty members.
Reference books and library copies will not be issued outside the library premises.
Any person found stealing books, magazines, or other library materials will be barred from library services and subjected to disciplinary action.
Writing, underlining, marking, or damaging library books and materials is strictly prohibited. Damaged books must be replaced by the concerned user.
The Librarian reserves the right to suspend the membership of any user found misbehaving, abusing library staff, or violating library rules and discipline.
